Great Value
I've been looking for a set of thick, quality, affordable chaps for quite some time. Genarally quality and affordable do not belong in the same sentence. Most brands have leather you could about read through and were made for looks, not protection. These are a different story. These have the thickest leather I've seen (that includes those with a particular motorcycle brand embroidered on them...) and they're soft, with that cozy "broken in" feel. I'd say the quality of the leather is up there with CE approved apparell made by Icon, Alpinestars, etc, which is fantastic 1.2 - 1.4mm rated. Double the quality for a third of the price. I can't complain. Fit, finish, and overall build construction is way more than I expected at this price point.

Love Mine
I've owned a pair of these chaps for 17 years and they are still going strong! I bought them in '93 at the Topsfield Fair and while looking lived in and comfortable, they held up excellent. Through no fault of the chaps, I'm looking to resize to the next size up (I've gotta lay of the ice cream) but I'll be passing my current ones on to someone else that's a little smaller in the thigh then I am! I'm HIGHLY impressed with the quality of these, nothing else I own lasted me 17 freakin' years! I highly recommend them to anyone who's on the fence. Now if I can just get a new pair that's already broken in... ;^)
